What is kratom leaf?
Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa) is a tropical evergreen tree in the coffee family native to Southeast Asia. The leaves have been harvested and used traditionally for centuries by local populations for their unique natural properties.
Are 'vein colors' and 'strains' actually different plants?
No. All kratom comes from the same tree. Vein color on a living leaf just indicates its age. The 'color' of the powder you buy is actually the result of how the farmer dried it. For example, 'Green' powder is air-dried indoors to preserve a raw, energetic profile, while 'Red' powder is fermented in bags to oxidize the alkaloids and create a relaxing effect. Our naming scheme combines these processing colors with traditional 'origin' names (like Bali, Thai, or Maeng Da). While nearly all commercial kratom is actually grown in Borneo, Indonesia, these names act as traditional recipes. A 'Green Malay' and a 'Green Maeng Da' might come from the same forest, but they are processed using different drying times and techniques to create their own unique, consistent effects.

Currently, our physical retail storefront at 79 W 900 S in Salt Lake City is closed to the public, and local pickup is suspended, while we work through Utah SB 45 compliance and permitting. All orders must be placed online and will be shipped directly to you.
